This book is pure garbage. The author wants to blame her child's poor educational experience on Washington State's educational system and claims that everyone within this system is racist and treats lower income students without dignity and respect. She is so far off, it is ridiculous. She seems to have this bizarre idea that people should bow down to her as she screams and tirades at teachers and administrators over her own misguided idea of what is best for children. She seems to have no clue that teachers, administrators and school districts are required to follow the No Child Left Behind law, even if they don't agree with it. It is the law! This book is based on nothing but the authors own misguided thoughts. Nothing is research-based or even common theory. Don't waste your money on this worthless book.
